This book had been specially crafted for our external partners with the intention of providing them with an in-depth understanding of our intricate internal pipeline within our proprietary engine. Our ultimate objective was to gradually delegate all our cinematic storytelling responsibilities for live-services to third-party entities. Furthermore, comprehensive videos and tutorials highlighting the effective utilization of Halo's tooling had been thoughtfully included to further enhance partners' understanding.

This book has been meticulously crafted with the purpose of providing comprehensive insights to both external and internal partners. Its chief aim revolves around fostering a profound understanding of the intricate intricacies intrinsic to the game we are currently developing, as well as acquainting them with the underlying thought processes fueling the creation of the game's immersive story and compelling presentation.

Halo Infinite Lighting Direction

October 2021

This document was created at an early stage with the purpose of facilitating the lighting team's comprehension of the intended direction for Season 2 of Halo Infinite's Multiplayer story. Given my extensive experience in lighting using the exclusive Halo engine, I was keen on contributing to the provision of utmost clarity. It is evident, upon examination of this document, that it belongs to an early phase, as the absence of character lighting and textures is noticeable. As soon as this documentation was completed, I transitioned to another Halo Infinite project, duly transferring the responsibilities pertaining to cinematic direction.
