2025 Reel

15 Years of Work

Explore all projects

This reel presents excerpts from the past 15 years: 12 years working on Halo as a Narrative Experience Director, documentary filmmaker, and creative lead; more than 2 years on a new IP with NetEase; and 6 months in 2025 at Xbox.

As I reach the midpoint of 2025, I’m looking to start a new chapter in my career. I’m motivated to join a full-time team where I can help bring ideas and emotions to life by clarifying the purpose, value, and intent behind today’s most forward-thinking products, entertainment, and technologies.

This reel offers a glimpse into the range of my abilities, but what’s harder to capture in two and a half minutes is the authenticity and passion I bring to every project. While it doesn’t represent all 15 years of my work, it highlights key pieces I’ve created to help showcase the value behind brands.

Take a look around, and feel free to reach out if you think I’d be a good fit for your team or your next project.

  • The vast majority of the work in this reel I directed, shot, edited, lit, mixed, designed, animated, composited, and rendered. On certain projects I led the teams producing the content but those attributions are credited on this site.

Please look around, on a project-by-project basis, this site breaks down the full range of contributions, pitches, and creative thinking.

  • I directed the first two E3 trailers for Halo Infinite and later served as the director for Halo Infinite’s cinematics and story experience across missions and multiplayer. Across more than two hours of cinematics, I led performances with actors and directed a large team of animators, writers, engineers, designers, and artists to bring the narrative to life.

For both the E3 trailers and the in-game cinematics, I was the primary spokesperson, narrative designer, editor, and creator of the motion graphic logo treatments and in-game UI visualizations.

Many of the pre-rendered Halo shots featured here were retextured, rigged, rendered, lit, and composited by me. These visuals were created for various documentaries and internal teams to help communicate tone, emotion, and narrative framing.

  • At the start of 2025, I worked at Xbox as a Creative Director. During that time, I created a full-length documentary titled Making the Moment, handling every aspect of the production except lighting and shooting. This reel includes excerpts from that piece, along with renders from a show rebrand that I developed from end to end.

  • Unfortunately, there’s no work from NetEase included in this reel, as the rights to the IP remained with the company following the studio’s closure in early 2025. My role there was directing the level design and narrative teams. Much of the work was foundational—focused on world-building to unify and expand the characters, setting, and lore of a new IP. The studio closed before we made any significant investment in cinematic content.

  • My first “real” job in the entertainment industry was creating documentaries at a very early age. I’ve worked on over 20 of them for Microsoft, Bungie, and Xbox—personally handling around 18 of those from start to finish.

  • Nearly all the motion graphics shown here were rendered, animated, lit, and composited by me for documentaries, trailers, and shows created with Microsoft, Imaginary Forces, and King and Country.

  • All of the Iceland shots were captured by me in 2014 using the RED Scarlet-W. They were later used as plates and background footage for the Halo Channel network branding.

Some of the shots are also from Halo: Nightfall short films that I shot, wrote, and directed.
